Istanbul Airport Aims to Become a Global Hub for Air Cargo

At the ICAO Global Air Cargo Summit held in Antalya, General Director of Civil Aviation Kemal Yüksek stated that Istanbul Airport is progressing with the goal of becoming the world’s central hub for air cargo transportation.

According to Yüksek, Turkey’s air cargo volume has increased from 2.4 million to 2.7 million tons in recent years. He emphasized that Istanbul Airport’s robust infrastructure and strategic location have played a major role in this growth. Positioned at the crossroads of Asia, Europe, and Africa, the airport holds a significant geographical advantage.
